MNS chief Raj Thackeray, kin tested Covid positive
BMC officials said Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray, his mother Kunda Thackeray and a maid were tested for Covid on Friday after Thackeray’s mother was symptomatic
Raj along with his mother Kunda Thackeray and sister tested positive, and all are home quarantined, confirmed Dr Jalil Parkar of Lilavati Hospital.
Dr Parkar said, “Raj Thackeray’s mother tested positive and was given cocktail therapy post which she was discharged on Friday. On Saturday, Raj Thackeray and his sister also took the same treatment after testing positive and are currently home quarantined.” Dr Parkar added, “All three were fully vaccinated and have responded well to the cocktail therapy.”
MNS leader Sandeep Deshpande also confirmed about Raj Thackeray, his mother and sister tested positive. However, additionally, civic officials have said that a maid of Thackeray’s house also tested positive and is in isolation at a quarantine facility in Dadar. Significantly, Raj Thackeray has been refusing to wear masks in public. htc
