Lok Sabha 2019 constituency: Congress has held West Bengal’s Maldaha Dakshin seat for 2 terms

Congress’ Abu Hasem Khan Chowdhury has won from Maldaha Dakshin in West Bengal twice since it was carved out of the Malda Lok Sabha constituency in 2009 after the recommendation of the Delimitation Commission. Abu Hasem Khan Chowdhury defeated the Bharatiya Janata Party’s Bishnupada Roy in 2014 Lok Sabha election.

Congress’ Abu Hasem Khan Chowdhury has won from Maldaha Dakshin in West Bengal twice since it was carved out of the Malda Lok Sabha constituency in 2009 after the recommendation of the Delimitation Commission.

Abu Hasem Khan Chowdhury defeated the Bharatiya Janata Party’s Bishnupada Roy in 2014 Lok Sabha election. Chowdhury, the minister of state for health and family welfare in the UPA II government, won against Abdur Razzaque of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) in 2009.
