Uttar Pradesh, which sends the maximum number of members to Parliament at 80, will go to polls in all the seven phases of the Lok Sabha election 2019. Votes will be counted on May 23.

The Bharatiya Janata Party holds the Jalaun Lok Sabha seat in Uttar Pradesh, which is reserved for members of Scheduled Castes.

The ruling party at the Centre has won the Jalaun Lok Sabha seat five times in the past and the Congress four times. The last time the grand old party won from Jalaun was in 1984. The Bahujan Samaj Party and Samajwadi Party both have won the seat once each.
