Faridabad election results 2019: All the parliamentary constituencies in Haryana voted in the sixth round of the seven-phased Lok Sabha election on May 12.

The Faridabad parliamentary constituency spread over Faridabad district in Haryana is a major industrial hub and part of the National Capital Territory.

One of Haryana’s high-profiles seats, the Faridabad constituency came into existence in 1977 and has mostly been with the Congress, which managed to win it six times in the 11 elections held so far. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has bagged the Faridabad Lok Sabha seat four times. Currently, Krishan Pal from BJP is in the lead.

It has nine assembly segments — Hathin, Hodal (SC), Palwal, Prithla, Faridabad NIT, Badkhal, Ballabhgarh, Faridabad, Tigaon. Faridabad has a mix of Jat, Gujjars, Brahmin and Scheduled Caste voters. It also has more than one lakh Muslim voters and slum and migrant voters also form a sizeable population.

All the parliamentary constituencies in Haryana will vote in the sixth round of the seven-phased Lok Sabha election on May 12. The votes will be counted on May 23.
