Lok Sabha 2019 constituency: Will JMM chief Shibu Soren win from Dumka seat the ninth time?
The Dumka constituency is spread across Dumka, Deoghar and Jamtara districts and has assembly segments of Skiaripara, Nala, Jamtara, Sarath, Dumka and Jama under it.
The Dumka parliamentary constituency, which is reserved for candidates from Scheduled Tribes, has been the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha’s (JMM’s) stronghold since 1980.
JMM chief Shibu Soren has represented the Dumka Lok Sabha seat eight times since 1980. Babulal Marandi of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has won from the seat twice and Congress’ Prithvi Chandra Kisku once.

Polling in Jharkhand will be held in four phases from April 29 to May 19. Votes will be counted on May 23.
