Maharashtra’s 48 constituencies will vote to elect members to the Lok Sabha in four phases on April 11, 18, 23 and 29.

The Kolhapur Lok Sabha constituency in Maharashtra is represented by Dhananjay Bhimrao Mahadik of the Nationalist Congress Party.

Mahadik defeated Shiv Sena’s Sanjay Sadashiv Mandalik by around 33,000 votes.

Sanjay Sadashiv Mandalik had contested and won as an Independent candidate in 2009.

Kolhapur, which comprises six assembly segments, polled 7000 votes in favour of NOTA in 2014 Lok Sabha elections.
