Maharashtra’s 48 constituencies will vote to elect members to the Lok Sabha in four phases on April 11,18, 23 and 29.

Nashik, the temple city of Maharashtra, was represented in the 16th Lok Sabha by Shiv Sena’s Godse Hemant Tukaram.

He was previously a member of the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena and contested the same constituency in the 2009 elections, but lost to the NCP’s Sameer Bhujbal by 24,000 votes.
