Maharashtra’s 48 constituencies will vote to elect members to the Lok Sabha in four phases on April 11, 18, 23 and 29.

The Beed Lok Sabha constituency is represented by BJP’s Pritam Gopinathrao Munde, who won a by-election necessitated by the death in an accident of her father Gopinath Munde.

After the May 2004 win in the Parliamentary elections, Gopinath Munde was made the Minister for Rural Development and Panchayati Raj in the Narendra Modi Cabinet, but died a month later in a road accident in Delhi.
