Jagdambika Pal, after four decades in the Congress, switched sides ahead of the 2014 Lok Sabha election and joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He is the BJP lawmaker from the Domariyaganj Lok Sabha seat.

Uttar Pradesh’s Domariyaganj parliamentary constituency is represented by the BJP’s Jagdambika Pal, who served the shortest stint as the chief minister of the politically-crucial state.

After the Kalyan Singh government was dismissed in 1998, Jagdambika Pal became the chief minister with the support of Bahujan Samaj Party’s Mayawati. Pal’s term as chief minister, however, lasted just two days — from February 21 to 23. After four decades in the Congress, he switched sides ahead of the 2014 Lok Sabha election and joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He is the BJP member of Parliament from the Domariyaganj Lok Sabha seat.
