Maharashtra’s 48 constituencies will vote to elect members to the Lok Sabha in four phases on April 11,18, 23 and 29.

The Thane Lok Sabha constituency, one of Maharashtra’s 48 seats, comprises six Assembly segments.

The district has 60 lakh voters, with 340 belonging to the third gender and 3,883 differently-abled. The district will have 6,488 polling centres and some may require auxiliary centres too.

A team of 718 police officers and 8,360 personnel will be deployed on the polling day. Seventy-two flying squads and 21 video-monitoring teams will keep an eye on Thane, which will vote in the Lok Sabha elections on April 29.
