IPL 2019 Eliminator, DC vs SRH: Deepak Hooda suffered a mid-pitch collision with Keemo Paul which was followed by him getting run-out thanks to a direct hit from Rishabh Pant.
It was the fifth ball of the final over during the first innings of the Indian Premier League (IPL) encounter between Delhi Capitals and Sunrisers Hyderabad. Sunrisers all-rounder Deepak Hooda was at the crease and with Keemo Paul bowling the over, the intent was clear from the batsman to go for the maximum.
Hooda slashed hard at the delivery but was unable to connect with it and while trying to sneak a single, he fell short of the crease thanks to a direct hit from wicket-keeper Rishabh Pant. However, Hooda suffered a mid-pitch collision with the bowler and as a result, the run-out caused a bit of confusion among the umpires.

The umpires asked DC skipper Shreyas Iyer whether he wanted to withdraw the appeal and it looked like Iyer was ready to move on with the match. But, Pant was confident that he had caught Hooda short of the crease fair and square and conveyed it to the umpires as well.
The umpires decided to discuss the matter among themselves and after a few moments, Hooda was given out by the third umpire with the replays showing that he was short of the crease.
