The two cricket buffs provided some heavyweight VIP backing for the home team as they took on Chennai at an Indian Premier League match.

Advani and Prasad, on opposite sides in Parliament, shared space in the VIP box in the stadium as they cheered the hosts who lost despite amassing 187 runs.

Prasad was at the stadium with his family, including his son Tejaswi Yadav, who is an upcoming cricketer and a member of the Delhi team.

The RJD chief, who is President of the Bihar Cricket Association (BCA), has, in fact, been a regular fixture at all Delhi's matches at the Kotla.

The VIP box was abuzz with activity as security officials and members of the GMR Group, which is the owner of the Delhi team, kept up a regular attendance there due to the presence of the two leaders.
