Kanpur's Green Park gears up for India-Pak match

After a two-year hiatus, a renovated Green park stadium is all set to host the India-Pakistan match to be held on November 11.

After a two-year hiatus, a renovated Green park stadium is all set to host international cricket once again with the third India-Pakistan ODI to be held here next month.

Green park was in pathetic condition for the past two years due to its negligence by Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association (UPCA).

However, the stadium and the roads leading to it are being renovated for the India-Pakistan match to be held on November 11.

The UPCA director Jyoti Bajpei told PTI that they were ready to join hands with the district authorities for the maintenance work of the international stadium.

"The renovation of the stadium and the roads is being done at a swift pace and I am confident that it would be completed by the end of this month," said the district magistrate Alok Kumar.
