Modi tweeted that the project to start the league began way back in 2010 and also posted documents related to the league. Modi allegedly posted documents included memorandum of understanding (MoU), copy of agreement and minutes of the meeting held to plan commencement of the league.

The copy of agreement posted by Modi read that it was entered on January 11, 2010 between Arab Sports Management (ASM) and Anuradha Prasad, wife of Rajeev Shukla, who was deemed an 'agent' in the agreement.

Though the veracity of the documents could not be verified, the agreement claimed that Prasad would be paid USD 10 million "to provide all the necessary consultancy services, as may be required and assist ASM in obtaining all necessary approvals, registrations, permissions, consents etc." with regards to organise the Arabian World Cricket Series starting.

Shukla, who had on Monday claimed Modi's initial claims of the former's involvement in the Arab T20 League as "rubbish", didn't respond to HT's queries on Monday. So didn't the other prominent BCCI office-bearers.
