Following the footsteps of the yoga guru, Karamveer is slowly expanding his domain in FMCG business, with his range of Ayurved items termed as products of Maharishi Patanjali Parivar. Already under the banner of Kalmaprit, Karamveer has launched a wide array of consumer goods ranging from toothpaste, amla juice, etc.

During a programme at Chetan Jyoti ashram ‘Kalpamrit Sankalp Samaroh’, in Haridwar, Acharya Karamveer, while displaying his wide range of ayurvedic products, said that he was not viewing Patanjali Ayurved as his rival, but wants to provide quality ayurvedic products to the country.

“At a time where people are suffering from diseases like diabetes, liver related ailments and cancer, and the quality of consumer goods gradually falling, I have brought Kalpamrit Ayurvedic Limited as an alternative which is free from any kind of adulteration,” said Karamveer.

Referring to clarified butter or ghee, he said that the cost of manufacturing 1kg of pure ghee is somewhere around 1,200 to 1,500, while Patanjali Ayurved is selling it at a very low price. So there must be some tampering with the quality and people should be aware of it before buying, he said.

On the other hand, Patajali Yogpeeth spokesperson SK Tijariwala has denied all allegations saying that Patanjlai Ayurved was registered by Swami Ramdev 25 years back and has a turnover of 10,500 crore, which is only due to the certified quality of products.

Notably, two decades back, Swami Ramdev, Acharya Balakrishan and Acharya Karamveer had laid the foundation of Divya Yog Trust. But later, Karamveer had distanced himself while Ramdev and Balakrishan went on to build Patanjali Yogpeeth and Patanjali Ayurved Limited empire.
