Traffic diversions for Noida-bound vehicles due to Kanwar movement in Delhi
The advisory read that since the Noida police is managing the Kanwariya movement by stopping vehicular movement from Delhi, traffic diversions in Delhi will help commuter avoid any confusion.
Noting an increased movement of Kanwariyas in the national capital, the Delhi Traffic Police have put in place traffic diversions for vehicles going towards Noida from areas such as Kalindi Kunj, Sarita Vihar, and Faridabad on Monday and Tuesday to ensure smooth movement of traffic.
“In view of past experience, there are apprehensions of high Kanwariya movement at Kalindi Kunj on July 29 and 30,” a statement released by the traffic police read.
The advisory read that since the Noida police is managing the Kanwariya movement by stopping vehicular movement from Delhi, traffic diversions in Delhi will help commuter avoid any confusion.
Though all motorists have been advised to avoid Road number 13A -- main road connecting Mathura Road with Kalindi Kunj -- the police said that traffic coming from Ashram may use the stretch, taking a U-turn below the Sarita Vihar flyover and reach Noida via the DND flyway.
“Traffic coming from Kalkaji Mathura Road may use the Mathura Road to reach Noida,” the traffic advisory said.
Warning about possibility of traffic jams in the area, the police also said that one carriageway of Road 13A (towards Kalindi Kunj) has been provided for the movement of Kanwariyas hence there will be no traffic on this route till July 30 (Tuesday).
Noida-bound traffic from Faridabad has also been stopped from moving towards Kalindi Kunj. Similarly traffic on Agra Canal Road will remain completely stopped.
