Two labourers get into tank to clean it in Delhi’s Model Town, die

Police identified the duo as Bittu and Rajiv. They were working under a contractor identified as Pawan, who told police that the two men got into the tank used for storing petrol at around 8.30 pm.
Two labourers, aged between 25 and 30 years, died after they got into a tank at a petrol pump to clean it in northwest Delhi’s Model Town on Thursday evening.
Police identified the duo as Bittu and Rajiv. They were working under a contractor identified as Pawan, who told police that the two men got into the tank that is used for storing petrol at the fuel station at around 8.30 pm.

“The tank was empty when the two men got inside. They fell unconscious and when rushed to hospital, were pronounced dead. Post mortem is being done,” said deputy commissioner of police Aslam Khan.
