This is the note left by a group whose members claim to be “the saviours of society” and promise to make it crime free. The note was found at a spot where a 32-year- old businessman, identified as Vikas, was gunned down on Monday night in Dwarka’s sector 22.

According to reports, the string of events that led to Vikas’ murder began on July 14 when a 23-year-old youth named Hemant Kumar was shot at by the gang. Hemant allegedly was in a relationship with the sister of one of the gang members and they did not approve of it. It is suspected that Vikas was targeted because he supported the couple.

In the note left after Vikas’ murder, the group claimed that Hemant had been taught a lesson for molesting a girl and said they will not spare rapists.

The group have been allegedly involved in seven to eight murder cases and the car they use for committing crimes is also said to be a stolen one.

The group struck again on Tuesday afternoon. They are suspected to have murdered a 21-year-old man, Pradeep, who had brushed his bike against their car in Kanjhawala, a day after the Dwarka incident.

Pradeep was on his bike with his brother Pawan when it accidentally brushed against a Verna car. After an argument the men in the car allegedly whipped out a pistol and shot Pradeep dead. Pawan, his brother later identified the accused, who is also a suspect in the Dwarka murder case.

The group claim to be fighting against corrupt doctors, molesters, rapists, gamblers, anti-nationals and those with black money. The note signs off with “Jai Hind, Jai Bharat”, however, the police suspect that this may be a way of misleading the investigators.

Dismissing the gang’s claims of wiping out ‘criminals’, the police said the two murders were a result of gang rivalry that took place in Gurgaon, Jhajjar and Chhawla in May. They claimed the killers may have been hired to eliminate rivals.

The one-page note also mentions the names of the group members. The group members claim that the idea behind the killings was to “bring peace to the nation” and that they would gun down all offenders across Delhi using “high tech weapons”.

The group claimed to have killed three ‘gangsters’, including Papu Gurjar and Puneet Kharkhari . They also claimed to have shot one Hemant, who had allegedly molested a girl.

The police said they have sent the note for forensic examination. They are also tracking the members who have mentioned their names in the note.

“It seems like a case of gang rivalry. We have registered the cases and have begun the investigation,” DCP southwest, Surendra Kumar said.
