‘BJP trying to stall quota in promotions’
Rashtriya Janata Dal chief Laloo Prasad Yadav has alleged the BJP was obstructing parliamentary proceedings to pre-empt legislation to ensure reservations in promotions for the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes.
Rashtriya Janata Dal chief Laloo Prasad Yadav has alleged the BJP was obstructing parliamentary proceedings to pre-empt legislation to ensure reservations in promotions for the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes.
He said the principal Opposition party’s other objective was to cover up massive wrongdoings by its own leaders in iron ore and coal mining. He demanded that a joint parliamentary committee (JPC) probe into the Reddy brothers mining operations in Karnataka.
“The Manuvadi BJP does not want reservations in promotions for the SCs and STs regardless of the consensus reached on the issue at the all party meeting,” claimed Yadav. Simultaneously, the party is “hounding” the Prime Minister from the minority Sikh community who is fighting corruption.
“The people who embezzled money collected in the name of constructing the Ram Temple in Ayodhya have no moral right to talk about corruption,” said Yadav. “A conspiracy is simultaneously being hatched to destroy communal harmony in the country with an eye on the 2014 polls.”
