The weatherman predicted a misty morning on Friday too. “The sky will be mainly clear, followed by mist or shallow fog. The maximum temperature is expected to be around 28 degrees Celsius and the minimum is likely to settle at 12 degrees Celsius, both one notch below average,” the Met official said.

The weather agencies, however, warned that it would start getting colder from November 23, which will be followed by snowfall in states like Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir.

“Delhi won’t see a major change in weather before November 23. Once there is snowfall in the northern parts of the country, the city is expected to see a sudden drop in temperature,” Mahesh Palawat, director of Skymet, the only private weather forecasting agency of the country, told Hindustan Times.

A Met official said the western disturbances are weak now due to which currently there has not been much of a dip in temperature levels even in the month of November. “However, after 3-4 days the scenario is going to change and the temperature is surely going to dip,” he said.

On Wednesday, the maximum temperature was 23.2 degrees Celsius while the minimum reported in the morning was 11 degrees Celsius. Humidity oscillated between 81 and 34%.
