The minimum temperature was normal for this time of the year as against Thursday's 6.4 degrees, the MeT Department said.
A drizzle was also reported in some areas of the capital.
The Weatherman has predicted that the temperature might dip to six degrees Celsius tomorrow. The maximum was recorded at 21 degrees Celsius.
The capital had been experiencing intense cold conditions from January 20 to February three, with the minimum and maximum temperatures staying many notches below normal.
A western disturbance over north-west India has led to a rise in the temperature in the past four days, giving respite to the denizens from intense cold.
Indian Meteorological Department Director B P Yadav said there was all possibilities of a dip in temperature after February eight as the western disturbance is likely to move out of the region.
The season's lowest was recorded at 1.9 degrees Celsius on January two, while the second lowest was recorded on January 28 at 2.3 degrees Celsius.
