A week after DU announced the setting up of an independent review committee to look into the improper auction of radioactive substances, Deepak Pental, Vice-Chancellor, Delhi University, said the committee will be reconstituted.
“Dr Dwarkanath will not be part of the committee as he has worked with Professor V.S. Parmar earlier,” he said. “The new members’ names will be announced on Wedneday,” he said.
This move comes after Delhi University Teachers Association (DUTA) made a noise over the appointment of Dr Dwarkanath as a member of the committee. Teachers say, he has published four papers with Dr Parmar. Meanwhile, Pental said DU, had on Monday, sent details of practices followed in each department to AERB officials.
