‘Investigators not serious from Day 1’
The numerous loopholes in the Noida police’s story would not have been there had they taken the investigation seriously from Day 1 of the crime, reports HT Correpondent.
The numerous loopholes in the Noida police’s story would not have been there had they taken the investigation seriously from Day 1 of the crime. Senior police officers feel since the first day, there have been deliberate attempts on the police’s part to botch up the investigation, the results of which are showing now.
IGP Gurdarshan Singh’s argument that the police were forced to leave the house on May 16th — the day Aarushi’s body was discovered — has not gone down well with many in the force.
Talwar, Singh had said, became sentimental and asked them to go and catch Hemraj. And the police listened and did as he said! Police made one of the biggest mistakes by leaving the place without a thorough search, officers said.
“Investigators have no one to blame if they make such silly mistakes. Now they will realise what those 24 hours have cost them,” said an officer. With the police leaving the premises, there is every possibility that evidence was tampered with, he said.
“Fingerprints, blood on the wall, all would have gone away. The rooms would have been cleaned and crucial evidence lost,” he added.
