Maid found dead in Ashok Vihar

A maid was found dead in her second-floor room in northwest Delhi on Saturday morning. Police said Jeevi Bodh, 20, worked at Dr GP Gupta's dental clinic at his house in Block H, Ashok Vihar. The victim was found partly stripped with blood oozing from her mouth, police said.
On Saturday morning, when the victim did not turn up for work, Dr Gupta went to the second floor to check. “The room was latched from outside. The family entered the room and found her dead,” said a police officer.
Bodh, who was from Jharkhand, and was hired by Gupta through a placement agency 10 months back, was most likely sexually assaulted before being murdered, police said, though no such case has been registered.
“As of now, we are following the murder angle but sexual assault can be confirmed only after the doctor submits her post mortem examination report. There were visible signs of struggle,” said N.S. Bundela, Deputy Commissioner of Police (northwest).
Dr Gupta told the police he took his family out for a movie on Friday night and returned late, by when the maid was already in her room on the terrace.
A police officer said they were questioning a watchman and a few workers at a construction site nearby.
The family told the police that they didn't find any suspicious goings on in the house or with the maid.
