A man and a woman hailing from West Bengal, who allegedly used to cheat people by promising to give them dollars in exchange for Indian currency, were arrested in the capital, the police said on Tuesday.

They were nabbed while they were trying to prey on one Raj Kumar, Meenu Choudhury, deputy commissioner of police (northwest), said.

Kumar had approached the police that a man was luring him to exchange Rs 1 lakh in Indian currency with American dollars worth Rs 2.50 lakh.
“They were arrested from Shakurpur while striking a deal with the complainant. A bundle of papers shown as dollars was recovered from them," Choudhury said.
