Since all the terraces in Jalvayu Vihar are connected with each other, a CBI team used that route to see how much time Krishna would have taken — in case he took the route — to reach Talwar’s house on the night of the murders.

The CBI team covered the distance between Talwars’ L – 32 flat and the flat L –14, where Krishna stayed in the servant quarter, in less than two minutes through the terrace route. This way no one, including the security guards, would have noticed someone entering the house.

The homes of Dr Anita and Praful Durani and of Aarushi’s grandparents were also searched.

Tests on Nupur, Rajesh Talwar

The CBI subjected Aarushi’s mother, Dr Nupur Talwar, to a lie-detector test. The test, which was held last week, was conducted at the Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL). Sources said the test was conducted as her statements contradicted those of Dr Talwar.

Senior investigating officials refused to say whether this meant that they were treating Nupur as a suspect. Dr Rajesh Talwar’s defense counsels said they had no information about the test. Pinaki Mishra, the lawyer of the Talwars, told a new agency that the CBI had asked Nupur for certain tests and stroke examinations and she has cooperated with them.

CBI sources said Talwar might be subjected to a second psychological assessment test. A Noida businessman, questioned by the agency last week, and Dr Anita Durani may also be subjected to polygraph tests. There were unconfirmed reports of the CBI planning to put Talwar to a narco-analysis test. Agency reports said Talwar had subjected to a psychoanalysis test.

Jail Superintendent V.K. Singh said, “No such request has come up (for tests) so far.”

Meanwhile, Raj Kumar, the servant of Dr Anita and Praful Durani, was picked-up again for questioning on Sunday. “He was confronted with Krishna to weed out contradictions in their statements,” a source said. His mobile phone was seized and sent for forensic examination.
