Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, recovering from a cardiac bypass heart surgery, is unlikely to attend Parliament tomorrow, the last day for the current Lok Sabha.
There were earlier indications that Singh may make a brief appearance before Parliament adjourns sine die but sources said it is unlikely.
76-year old Singh, who underwent the surgery last month, has so far stayed away from the session. The refrain in government and Congress circles is that he is making steady progress and it was for doctors to decide when he can attend the session.
Singh could not attend today's meeting of the general body of Congress Parliamentary Party (CPP) where party chief Sonia Gandhi remarked "we are sorry to miss" the PM at the last meeting before the general elections.
She, however, said she was glad to know that Singh was expected to be soon with partymen again.
