The 85-year-old mother-in-law of a CBI official was targeted by bike-borne assailants in south Delhi’s Vasant Vihar on Sunday evening, the police said.
The 85-year-old mother-in-law of a CBI official was targeted by bike-borne assailants in south Delhi’s Vasant Vihar on Sunday evening, the police said.
According to the police, the incident occurred when the victim, identified as PS Laxmi, a resident of Vasant Vihar’s CBI Colony, had gone to purchase groceries with her grandson Shridhar on his bike.

“On their way back, Sridhar had stopped at the red light signal near Priya Complex around 4pm when a man approached the senior citizen, snatched her chain and ran away,” said a senior police officer.
As she fell on the ground after being manhandled, she saw the snatcher crossing the light, sitting on a waiting motorcycle and speeding away.
