A four member team from All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) on Friday conducted a psychological test on Dr Rajesh Talwar, accused of Noida double murder case, at Dasna Jail.
Jail Superintendent V.K. Singh told Hindustan Times, “Around 10:15 a.m. a CBI inspector along with four doctors from AIIMS came and produced a court order in which permission was granted for a psychological test to be conducted on Dr Rajesh Talwar.”
“While the CBI officer remained in my office, the doctors conducted the test in a separate chamber arranged for them,” said Singh.
“The test continued till 12.30 p.m. Regarding findings of the test, I do not have any details as the doctors will submit the report directly to the CBI headquarters,” he added. When asked about suicide attempt reports of Dr Rajesh Talwar in jail, Singh dismissed them as rumours.
Regarding Dr Talwar having an asthma attack in jail, he said, “Two days ago Dr Talwar had complained of breathing problems. He was given nebulisation under guidance of jail hospital doctors. It is routine treatment for asthma patients. Moreover, we have procured medicines from his family also which are being administered as directed under medical experts team. Dr Talwar is medically fit as on Friday evening.”
