Police said Rahul, who is currently jobless, first slit Choudhary's throat and then stabbed him with a butcher's knife.

Choudhary, 24, was from Satna in Madhya Pradesh and worked as a rickshaw puller in Delhi.

"Rahul then cut the body into five pieces in his kitchen and was packing them in the gunny bag when his three roommates returned from a party. They found that Rahul was drenched in blood that was also spattered everywhere in the house," said a police officer.

"His roommates immediately alerted neighbours and police. Rahul was arrested from the house and the knife was also seized from him," said the officer.

According to police, Rahul in his interrogation said he had developed illicit relations with the victim's wife who used to daily visit his house to cook food for him and his roommates.

"Rahul said Choudhary scolded his wife and sent her to his village a couple of days ago, after he came to know about the illicit relations," the officer said.

"Rahul said he called up Choudhary for drinks at his home on Monday evening. After few drinks, a fight broke out between them. Rahul thrashed Choudhary and in a fit of rage he slit his throat. It seems to be a pre-planned murder. We have arrested him on the charges of murder," the officer added.
