A nursery teacher’s job is to focus on the overall personality development of a child. The teacher organises various activities in a stimulating learning environment. Her responsibility is to create a home away from home for her students.

A nursery teacher’s job is to focus on the overall personality development of a child. The teacher organises various activities in a stimulating learning environment. Her responsibility is to create a home away from home for her students. The main responsibility of a nursery teacher is to focus on the development of the five important aspects of a child’s personality: cognitive development, speech and language development, physical development, social development and emotional development. Along with this, the teachers engage in other activities as well

Clockwork
The clockwork for a nursery teacher varies from school to school and depends upon the school timings and the distance of the teacher’s residence from the school. Although an average day of a nursery teacher would be something like this:
6.30am: Wake up time
8.30am: Reach the school
9.30am: Receive children in school
10 am: Start classes, do nursery rhymes after break
1.30pm: See off the children

After the children leave the school, prepare lesson plans for the next day, check the copies, prepare for the activities etc. Leave for home at around 2.30 pm
