The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) had earlier announced on its website that the Class 10 results would be declared on May 27.
However, on Tuesday, the CBSE removed the announcement from its website for unspecified reasons. The board’s public relations officer confirmed that the declaration of the results would take a little time.
The CBSE is yet to announce the day when the results will be declared, but it is widely expected they will be known by the end of this week.
More than 10 lakh students appeared for the CBSE Class 10 examinations.
The CBSE results have been delayed this year, with rumours about the date making students nervous.
The CBSE Class 12 test results were announced on Monday. Girls again outperformed boys with a pass percentage of 87.56%. Boys could only score a distant 77.77%.
The overall pass percentage for Class 12 this year was 82%. Last year, it was a shade better at 82.70%.
