She is ga-ga over the actor who lovingly calls her his "princess" on the show.

"He is so friendly and sometimes when we don't know an answer on the show, he really encourages us. We have our kids' room at the sets, so he also comes and plays with us there," she said in an excited tone.

At the moment Shriya is basking in the happiness of working with Shah Rukh and is also gearing up for her upcoming film Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic, a Yash Raj production, with Saif Ali Khan and Rani Mukerji.

The film revolves around the lives of four children forced to live with a man they hate and how an angel comes to their rescue as their nanny. Shriya plays one of the children, Aditi.

"We are the main characters in the film and I really enjoyed shooting for it. We went to Los Angeles, danced and learnt new steps," the vivacious girl said.

While Shah Rukh is Shriya's favourite male actor, she loves Rani among the female stars. But what does she have to say about Saif?

"Saif used to share riddles with us and teach us new gaming tricks. He is good, but Shah Rukh is the best!" she maintained.

She went on to share details about how the two girls and two boys in the film used to get divided into Rani's and Saif's camps and play cricket. "Shooting for the film was my second best experience ever."

With her performance in the Kunal Kohli-directed film, Shriya, a Class 6 student, is pinning her hopes on winning a child actor award.

Shriya is most prominently remembered for her stint in Balaji Telefilms' popular soap Kasauti Zindagi Kay as the young Sneha Bajaj. She won an Indian Telly Award for the best child artiste in 2004 and also bagged the favourite child artiste award at the Star Parivaar Awards the same year.

And what if she had not been in the acting field? Then she would have grown up to be an astronaut, she says.
