It wasn’t me, says Ranveer
This is one mix-up Ranveer Singh is not enjoying.
The industry is talking about how the actor has been tweeting against Salman Khan’s Ek Tha Tiger, and the actor is clarifying that it is not his, but an impostor’s Twitter handle.
On August 21, a tweet from the handle @iRanveersingh read, ‘ “EK THA TIGER felt absolute bore but last 15min was magical. nice stunt nd action @beingsalmankhan pra.”
Soon after, a Hindi news channel ran the story about Singh panning the film. The user then tweeted on Tuesday, “Guys switch to aajtak channel fast. U will get to know how fake i am.” He added, ‘“I have criticized ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ on twitter and a special episode is coming on aaj tak now threatening me. Mai darta nai.” Not just this, the user further wrote,‘While I was passing through a multiplex people after seeing EK THA TIGER was asking for
TIGER BAAM
.’
The actor wasted no time in stating that the tweets were not from him, after a Mumbai tabloid reported the tweets.
On Wednesday morning, the actor’s representative sent the following statement: This is to inform you that the information on a tweet being attributed to Ranveer Singh in some sections of the media about his comments on ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ is completely incorrect and baseless. The tweet being referred to is of an impersonator and not of Ranveer. While Ranveer is on Twitter and his Twitter handle is @RanveerOfficial, he has never tweeted till date.
His intention of being on Twitter is to be able to interact with his friends and read what they are tweeting.
