A self-portrait cartoon of John Lennon and his wife Yoko Ono has fetched more than 37,000 pounds at an auction. The Lennon picture was drawn in felt pen during their infamous 1969 'bed-in'.
A self-portrait cartoon of John Lennon and his wife Yoko Ono has fetched more than 37,000 pounds at an auction.
The former Beatle drew the simple caricature as he staged his 1742 peace protest Suite at the Queen Elizabeth Hotel in Montreal, Canada.
The Lennon picture was drawn in felt pen during their infamous 1969 "bed-in,” reports the Mirror.

During this, the couple gave press conferences about the need for world peace, and performed the song ‘Give Peace A Chance’. The image went for 37,250 pounds.
