Lily Allen gets her own fashion TV show
Pop star Lily Allen is all set to display her designer skills on television with her very own fashion TV show, which will follow as she opens her rental clothes store. Read on to know more.
The Smile singer, who is taking a break from music to set up a clothes store with her sister Sarah, has signed a deal with British network Channel 4 to record her attempt to make it in the fashion world, reported Contactmusic.
"It is happening. The name and how many shows there will be is still undecided. It is due to go out early next year," a Channel 4 spokesperson said.
The shop, called Lucy In Disguise, is a rental fashion store and she and her sibling hope it will appeal to those who can't afford to buy expensive designer outfits.
"It's about making fashion democratic, that's the idea behind it. It's about getting really nice clothes but letting people rent them for affordable prices so they can go out and feel like a million dollars and it won't cost them a million dollars," said Lily.
Last July, Lily, who is the face of Chanel's Coco Cocoon collection - launched her own jewellery collection and back in 2007 collaborated with British high street store New Look to create a clothing line called Lily Loves.
