Chashma Chadha Ke: Govinda romances younger woman in new video; fan defends him, says Akshay Kumar-Salman Khan do it too
Chashma Chadha Ke: Govinda has released the teaser of his second music video. The full song will be out on Monday.
Govinda, who was last seen on the big screen in the almost universally panned film Rangeela Raja, is coming out with a new music video. The track is titled Chashma Chadha Ke and will be out on Monday. However, a teaser was shared online.
The 30-second clip showed Govinda stepping out of a yellow Lamborghini, taking photos of a much younger Shanayaa Kaur and recreating his 90s’ dance moves with her on top of a yacht.
Sharing the video, Govinda wrote on Instagram, “Hi guys, my second song ‘Chashma Chadha Ke’ is releasing on 6th December 2021. I hope you all will love it! @amanprajapatdirector @shanayaa.kaur.” Last month, he dropped his first song titled Angan Tera Tarsa Toh Tip Tip Paani Barsa.
Fans reacted to the teaser in the comments section. “Sir 500 crore aur lelo par jaldi release karo (please take ₹500 crore more but release the song soon),” one wrote. “Wow such a lovely song, you’re really No 1,” another wrote, adding clapping and heart-eyes emojis.
One person jumped to Govinda’s defence as another Instagram user called him ‘uncle’. “@jeet.rajpurohit bhai SRK, Salman aur Akshay Kumar movies mein ye sab kar rahe hai woh jawan hai kya (Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar do the same in their films. Are they young)?” the fan replied.
Govinda is known for his comic roles in films such as Raja Babu, Coolie No 1, Hero No 1, Dulhe Raja, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, Haseena Maan Jayegi and Saajan Chale Sasural.
Last year, in an interview, Govinda said that he suffered professionally because of some people in the film industry who ‘dictate the whole business’. He said, “Earlier whoever was talented, got work. Every film would get equal opportunity in theatres. But now, there are four or five people who dictate the whole business. They decide if they want to let films of those who aren’t close to them, release properly or not. Some of my good films also didn’t get the right kind of release. But, things are changing now.”
