Taare Zameen Par to be shown in China
Aamir Khan's hit directorial debut Taare Zameen Par, will be screened in China with Chinese subtitles along with nine other Indian films as part of celebrations to mark the 60th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the two neighbouring countries.
The selected films which span various languages and genres include India's entry to the 2010 Oscars, Marathi film 'Harishchandrachi Factory' and the Bollywood hit Oye Lucky Lucky Oye.
The movie screenings will be held in Beijing, Chongqing and Guangzhou from June 24, said Chinmoy Naik, Second Secretary of the Indian Embassy here.
The Indian Film Week is being organised as part of 'Festival of India - 2010' in cooperation with the Chinese State Administration for Radio, Film and TV (SARFT - Film Bureau) and the Indian Directorate of Film Festivals.
Antaheen(Bengali), Keshu (Malayalam), The White Elephant (Hindi), Gabhricha Paus (Marathi), Ek Cup Chya (Marathi), Pasanga (Tamil) and Shob Charitro Kalponik (Bengali) are the other films that will be screened.
