On the show, Anjali remained one of the strongest contenders as she formed strong bonds with some of her co-contestants. However, she often locked horns with her co-contestant Payal Rohatgi, who mocked her for being popular as a social media personality.

Speaking with Times of India, Anjali said that the reality show was a dream come true for her and she never imagined she'd get the kind of popularity that she got, after the show. “It was a tough journey for me from TikTok to Lock Upp. When I used to make videos on TikTok, a few relatives would tell my parents, ‘yeh videos mein dance kar ke naak kata rahi hai (she is demeaning us by dancing in the videos)’, but my parents were always supportive. They ignored it all. Now those relatives want selfies with me. My parents are very proud, and I feel blessed,” she told the daily.

During her stint on Lock Upp, Anjali was often linked with fellow contestant Munawar Faruqui and their chemistry was loved by the audience with many addressing them as Munjali. Anjali also said in the interview, that she has tried but has not been able to contact Munawar for some time now. “I thought, was pure friendship. But abhi usko kya ho gaya hai, pata nahi (I do not know what has happened to him). I tried contacting him after the show a few times, but all in vain. He is probably busy somewhere,” she said.
