Soft layers: Love your long hair too much to go short? Get soft layers that frame the face. That way, you can pull the hair up into a trendy top knot when it gets too hot. The half top knot is another sassy way to beat the heat while looking chic. It’s easy to style and can be done with just about any length of hair.

Layered bob: A bob that sits just above the shoulder is a heart-throb this summer. It has beautiful movement and at the same time, can be worn scrunched or sleek straight. Use an anti-frizz leave-in cream to enhance the natural movement of your hair, or a high definition curling cream to define those curls.

Undercuts: A rage for the bold this summer is the undercut. You can have the most classic haircut and still flaunt an undercut at the nape. This can be done on any length, texture and face shape as it stays under the main haircut. Go crazy with the endless shapes and design options.

Men:

The dishevelled look: Go for a dishevelled or textured top and short blended sides and back. The idea is to keep it natural and not too structured. Light leave-in creams can help to achieve this no-fuss look.

Man bun: Keep the layers in a long, square shape, so it has a structured outline. When it gets too hot, tie it in a casual knot, like a man bun. If you’re feeling adventurous, try man braids — it adds to the appeal.
