Rahul and Gunjan- the designer duo has been experimenting with art and has been seamlessly blending it in fashion.

Before heading down-under with their ‘Wearable Art’ collection, the designer duo of Gunjan Arora and Rahul Jain showed it at The Metropolitan Hotel on Friday. The duo has been experimenting with art and has been seamlessly blending it in fashion.

Gunjan Arora has developed fabric felting, and using the technique he has been creating pieces of art where threads weave an image. At the show, Rahul and Gunjan displayed a ten feet-long scroll on which a woman’s story was told with threads.

The show was very arty; with lots of thread-work creating patterns and images on the body of the garment and yet keeping it wearable. Sarees, tunics, long jackets and pants comprised the collection that will be shown in Melbourne to raise funds for the Royal Children’s Hospital.
