Zee Cine Awards 2019 red carpet fashion: All the looks we spotted last night, from the bold red to summery florals and pastels. Take a look.

Last night was a fashion getaway of sorts for our Bollywood celebrities and we couldn’t stop looking at all the beautiful dresses on the Zee Cine Awards 2019 red carpet. From the bold red to summery florals and pastels, there was a wide array of style and high fashion as seen on the celebrities who attended.

Deepika Padukone clearly belongs to the colour red. We had opined this a few months ago after noticing how she adds character to this bold colour, one not everyone can carry with panache. The silhouette fits like a glove on her athletic body, while the neckline highlighted her collar bones. She kept her hair untied this time around, combed backwards that added some volume. The beauty of this choice of colour is that one can easily choose not to accessorise and go with simple makeup overall.

Malaika Arora’s gown was a similar red but the cuts a bit more risqué. But we believe, if you’ve got it, flaunt it. The design looked gorgeous on Malaika primarily because of her figure that has made women envious since her Chhaiya Chhaiya days.

Alia, on the other hand, was seen in summery florals - a hint at the upcoming season that could have an overload of pastels and florals in prints or embroidery. The chic gown kept the look young and peppy which Alia carried with all her spunk. She posed for the cameras on Deepika’s cue when both the ladies showed off the bare back of their respective gowns at the red carpet.

Also seen in florals was Katrina Kaif, in a black-blue gown with flower embroidery. Her hair seemed close to the look she’ll be seen sporting for her upcoming film, Bharat.

Chitrangada Singh’s gown, also a pastel choice, didn’t do much to highlight her looks per se but seen individually this colour and its pattern might make it an interesting choice for few fashion newsmakers.

We also loved Kiara Advani’s yellow gown with a thigh-high slit. She wore this with colour block strappy sandals that spiced up her overall look. The studded belt buckle on the gown complemented the minimal embellishments on her gown.

Sonam Kapoor and Sunny Leone chose similar gowns for the evening in different styles. Sonam’s light blue hue gown came with an interesting cape with and was close to the shade of Sunny’s gown, which tilted on the lavender side. The gown had a plunging neckline and fishtail silhouette.

Janhvi Kapoor, too, was seen in a red. Hers was a lovely red ballgown that took us down memory lane. Kriti Sanon and Madhuri Dixit-Nene chose black for this starry affair and we loved the neon splash on Kriti’s bodycon gown.

Gully Boy Ranveer Singh added spunk to the red carpet in his usual style and we loved how he carried the florals on his jacket, in sync with the pattern of the season that most of the ladies sported. Ranbir Kapoor, on the other hand, went safe in a black tuxedo, yet looking his usual dapper self. We’re still gushing over how he was seen whisking girlfriend, Alia away at the end of the evening.

Which look was your favourite?
