These issues are affecting functioning at the hospital’s out patient department (OPD).

The 100-bed facility is considered to be an extension of the old civil hospital in Civil Lines.

However, a senior official of the health department, said, “Both the issues will be resolved in a fortnight.”

According to health department officials, the Haryana Urban Development Authority (Huda), which constructed the building, has applied for an electricity connection and was giving final touches.

To discuss issues related to the new building, a meeting of officials of the Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (DHBVN), Huda and health department was held at the Sector-14 office of DHBVN on Monday.

“DHBVN has approved 750KV load for the hospital and marked the application to the sub-divisional engineer concerned, who will inspect the facility on Tuesday,” said a health department official.

He further claimed that electricity connection would be provided to the hospital within a week.

The hospital is spread over 10.5 acre and was constructed at a cost of R17 crore during 2009-11.

The health department has sent a list to the Haryana government for approval of staff members required to run the hospital.

“All modern equipment and facilities will be available for patients at the new hospital,” said Dr Praveen Garg, civil surgeon, Gurgaon.
