Exhibition to bring together masters, budding artists

Some of the masterpieces of renowned artists like Akbar Padamsee, Ganesh Pyne, Krishan Khanna, and Manu Parekh are showcased along with the creations of their younger counterparts at an exhibition here.

'Evolve', the annual exhibition, which is organised at Global Foyer, Golf Course Road by the Gallery Dhoomimal.com, offers a platform to the young artists to showcase their works along with the artists of repute.

Four new artists are taking part in the exhibition, which is opened here till February 3. After that the event will be shifted to Delhi's Triveni Kala Sangam.

A total of 28 artists have expressed their talents through various mediums, including painting, drawing, print and photography.

"Theme of this exhibition is 'Joy of life'. In our busy life we forget to enjoy the moments of happiness so this exhibition is an effort to convey the message that we should not forget to enjoy the smaller pleasures of life in search of bigger one," said Priyank Jain, curator of the art exhibition.

He said the event is an annual treat for art lovers in the city as most of them are compelled to go to Delhi in search of good art work.

"We decided to open the show here so that they get a chance to admire the good art work," he added.

Asit Kumar Patnaik, one of the participating artist, said, "The city has different taste for art work. And in search of this they are compelled to go to Delhi. So it is an effort from artists to connect with them."

About his painting, he said, "I talk about human relations. If we try to enjoy relations the life would be smooth and worth living".
