BJP turned Gurugram into the most polluted in country, alleges Congress’s Ajay Yadav
Ajay Yadav said that while the Congress rule had transformed Gurugram into an IT and auto hub, the BJP government had given the city the dubious distinction of being the most polluted city in the country.
After touring Rewari and Mewat, the Lok Sabha candidate of the Congress, Captain (Retd) Ajay Singh Yadav, focused his attention on the different localities of the city and its condominiums.
Yadav reminded the people of the hardships faced during demonetisation, the poor implementation of Goods and Services tax (GST) and the lack of employment generation during BJP’s rule. Yadav also said that while the Congress rule had transformed Gurugram into an IT and auto hub, the BJP government had given the city the dubious distinction of being the most polluted city in the country.
“The Metro was brought up to the Huda City Centre by the Congress, and since then, it has not extended an inch. Although the BJP speaks of infrastructure but still few inches of rain drowns the roads and underpasses of the city,” said Singh. Earlier, on Saturday, the Congress candidate had held a large meeting in Nuh, where he warned the people against supporting the party as the BJP had done nothing for development and economic growth in Mewat. The Congress candidate was accompanied by senior Congress leaders and former minister Rao Dharampal, former MLA Dharambir Gaba, former minister Sukhbir Kataria and senior leader Pradip Zaildar.
BJP spokesperson, Jawahar Yadav denied the allegations. “The work done in Mewat has been exemplary. We launched the canal water scheme, set up colleges and improved road infrastructure,” he asserted.
