New citizen facility centre in city
The Municipal Corporation of Gurgaon (MCG) has announced a new citizen facility centre (CFC)for the residents of New Gurgaon, HT reports.
The Municipal Corporation of Gurgaon (MCG) has announced a new citizen facility centre (CFC)for the residents of New Gurgaon. At present, only one CFC is operating from the civic body’s old office near Sadar Bazar.
MCG commissioner Vijay Singh Dahiya announced the opening of a new CFC office in New Gurgaon on Monday.
“This will benefit scores of people as they will not have to visit the MCG office in Old Gurgaon,” he said.
“The old office lacks facilities such as parking, public toilets etc for customers. All the eight counters at the office are usually crowded. The office at New Gurgaon will benefit many people,” said SK Kaushik, resident of New Gurgaon.
The MCG commissioner has written a letter to the Haryana Urban Development Authority (Huda) administrator Praveen Kumar for earmarking a suitable site in New Gurgaon for the purpose.
“Any building which is currently not being used in the Huda sectors can be developed as the new CFC office,” said Dahiya.
He said the post of nodal authority had been removed from January 1.
“Earlier, the nodal authority single-handedly dealt with files and applications submitted by people. He then assigned work to eight counter executives. Now, customers can directly approach the counter executives,” said Dahiya.
