The final examinations had concluded on March 6.

The circular read, “As the question papers of Class 11 were leaked, exams are being held again for all students. Fresh datesheet is given below…… The PTM will be held on March 22.”

However, school authorities later said the circular was issued by ‘mistake’ and they would withdraw it.

“We will soon announce that the circular is cancelled,” said Anuradha Handa, principal of Amity School.

The school said a decision to this effect would be conveyed to parents on March 12.

But the damage has already been done. Many parents had cancelled their holiday plans after the announcement.
