Avengers Endgame India box office day 10: Marvel film grosses ₹372 crore, sinks Titanic
Marvel’s superhero epic Avengers: Endgame has grossed ₹372 crore in India. It has also become the second highest grossing film of all time worldwide, with Avatar’s record in sight.
Avengers: Endgame raked in more than ₹50 crore in its second weekend of release in India, taking its total to ₹312 crore (nett) and ₹372 crore (gross). The film has some of the biggest Bollywood films of all time within catching distance.
According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the Marvel superhero film made Rs12.50 crore on its second Friday, ₹18.30 crore on Saturday, and ₹21.75 crore on Sunday, achieving the title of ‘all-time blockbuster’. The film has already become the biggest Hollywood film of all time in India, and has eclipsed lifetime collections of major Hindi releases.
Endgame registered the biggest opening weekend for a foreign film in India, and the second biggest in history. Internationally, the film has broken nearly every box office record, and has become the fastest film to cross $2 billion at the box office. As of now, it’s the second highest grossing film in history, after James Cameron’s 2009 film Avatar. There is around $600 million separating Endgame from Avatar.

Endgame is the top grossing Hollywood film of all time in China, with a total of close to $600 million. India is the sixth biggest international market for the film, following China, UK, Korea, Mexico and Brazil. It is the eleventh highest grossing film in India, following Padmaavat ( ₹387 crore), Sultan ( ₹421 crore), Tiger Zinda Hai ( ₹434 crore), Bajrangi Bhaijaan ( ₹444 crore), Sanju ( ₹460 crore), PK ( ₹473 crore), Baahubali: The Beginning ( ₹516 crore), Dangal ( ₹562 crore), 2.0 ( ₹565 crore) and Baahubali: The Conclusion ( ₹1429 crore).
"The sprint to $2 billion is unbelievable. We're in uncharted territory," Paul Dergarabedian, the senior media analyst for Comscore, told the Associated Press. "Usually films like this are marathoners." He also predicted that film has a real chance of eclipsing Avatar’s all-time record.
