“When the world is still recovering from the fear psychosis caused by Covid-19, the burden has greatly shifted on the organisations having pan-world reach to act as the building blocks to bring the world to normalcy,” Misra, who served as India’s 45th chief justice, said.

The new world order is bound to witness glory, he said as he listed how technology has helped in bringing the world together. In a situation of adversity, one should never accept defeat and have faith in oneself which he said makes each individual the captain of his ship.

“The new arrangement in the form of online dispute resolution has to be embraced with an open mind. The openness of the mind to accept the idea would be the real adaptation of the new world order,” he said.

He also said nothing can replace physical hearings in courts across the but both have to coexist.

As he concluded his address, the former CJI said noise makes a society lose substance and hold on to the evening shadow.
