LIVE: Senior leaders should raise concerns at party forum only, says Sonia Gandhi in concluding remarks

Sonia Gandhi will continue as Congress Party president till an AICC session is called within six months, the Congress Working Committee (CWC) meeting, called to discuss the turmoil within the Congress, concluded. The meeting had turned fiery after those supporting Sonia Gandhi targeted the leaders who wrote a letter to her seeking a complete overhaul. Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, senior leader AK Antony and others urged her to continue on the post till a new president is elected.There was a controversy after reports that Rahul Gandhi said the entire episode was done in collusion with the BJP. When Ghulam Nabi Azad and Kapil Sibal, who were a part of the group which wrote the letter, said they were upset by the remarks, the Congress got into damage control and clarified that Rahul never said anything like this. Sonia Gandhi, however, is adamant on quitting and has asked the CWC members to begin the process of finding a new party chief.Here are the live updates:
